Solar Fishing Lights

ASE Solar Fishing Light was originally developed for the African Lake market in Tanzania. For many years the local fishermen, who fish at night, have used Kerosene torch lights mounted on floating rafts to bring fish from the deep water to the surface water to net them. The light acts much like a bug light in the air. The tiny plankton and water bugs are attracted to this light and congregate at the water's surface by the light. Soon smaller fish also come to the surface to eat the water bugs, then larger fish come to eat the smaller fish.

These ASE lights are completely waterproof and float in the water with the LED’s 6“ below the water's surface. The Solar charged light has a lithium battery inside it and will operate for 13 hours on one day's charge in the sun. It can be charged DC from the Solar Panel or can be plugged into a power source with an AC power cord adapter or even charged from a DC car lighter adapter.
